   Immigration, Competition, and Redistribution Preferences

Abstract

The relationship between immigration and support for redistribution has been widely studied with observational and experimental data. Few, however, have considered the cultural diversity within the immigrant population or examined how the anti-solidarity and competition mechanisms may interact. This project aims to fill this gap by examining redistribution preferences in the context of multiple out-groups and competition for scarce resources.
