Registration is open for the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine’s Causal Inference and Big Data Summer Institute (CBD) this July. The intensive four-day programme is made up of lectures from experts in the field, live demonstrations of data analysis and computer lab sessions. The event is aimed at practitioners in industry, researchers, and students who are interested in learning about these statistical methods and how to implement them in practice.
The school was cover a variety of topics including DAGs, propensity scores, matching, instrumental variables, time-dependent confounding, static and dynamic treatment regimes, marginal structural models, targeted maximum likelihood, precision medicine, EHR and mobile health. The event is sponsored by the Center for Causal Inference and the Center for Statistical Methods in Big Data.
