Do Old Dogs Learn New Tricks? Development and Implementation of the CESS Global Preferences Panel (GPP)

ABSTRACT

(with Tomasso Batistoni – CESS)
Many economic models assume that behavioral preferences such as risk are innate and unchanging over time. However, experimentalists have documented that preferences may be affected by experiences, mood, or even cultural norms. We propose to study the determinants and stability of preferences through the development of a multinational panel of CESS online subjects. We present the proposed hybrid randomized block design we intend to run in the first year of the GPP.
