The Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) hosts the workshop Tackling Inequality: Experimental Advances on Taxation and Redistribution at Nuffield College on 7th December, 2018.

The workshop brings together a group of scholars who investigate preferences over redistribution and taxation, with a special focus on experimental elicitation methods. The topics include attitudes towards taxation and tax compliance, the effect of risk and unemployment insurance on behavioral outcomes, and behavioral responses to natural disasters. The presented work employs survey, laboratory, and natural experiments for empirical evidence.
